If consumers wait too long for a page on your website to load, 36.75 percent of them will leave to buy the same product from a competitor’s site. This stresses the importance of a fast-loading website pages and its impact on your business’s overall bottom line. An astounding 30 percent of the respondents indicated they would leave your website and buy the same product from a competitor.
On the other hand, websites that are optimized for the user will benefit from website pages loading quickly – 82 percent consumers will recommend your brand and website to their friends and family if they have an overall positive online experience.
#2 – Consumer web use is increasingly mobile
The web experience for the consumer can start from their smartphone then moving over to their tablet and then to their desktop in matter of minutes. This is what we refer to as multi-device. And in this increasingly mobile world, a responsive website that allows your consumers to access the same information seamless from device to device is more important than ever.
#3 – The value of web experience personalization remains to be the same
In recent years, more and more businesses have been personalizing their web experience. However, in the study, 37.44 percent of consumers prefer to remain anonymous when browsing your website. Of the respondents, 40 percents noted that they didn’t want a website to remember the previous visits. This could partially be due to the recent security breaches including Target and Michaels.
